More Better Best Practices

Leaders Maintain an Active Profile - "Do as I do" tends to be a better strategy than "Do as I say". When company leaders build their bookshelves, update their reads, and follow team members, this activity is more likely to be replicated throughout the organization.

Leaders Regularly Recognize Participation - "If a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?" When it comes to building good habits, what is recognized is often repeated.

The Club Champion is NOT on the Leadership Team - The higher the club champion sits on the org chart, the lower the chances of success. The role of the champion only takes about 2-4 hours per month and is most often successfully led by a team member from within the organization.

The Club Library Includes an Abundant and Broad Range of Titles - The number of titles in club library should be abundant and the diversity of titles should be broad. A good rule of thumb is to achieve a ratio of at least 10 to 1 in terms of titles to users (minimum 200 approved titles).

Rewards for Reading are Aggressive - Adjust your company rewards to reflect your passion for growth in the organization. The difference will likely amount to no more than a rounding error on your books, but make a marked and forever difference for your team.
